Cowes Ladies Fc was founded and formed in early 2017.
Originally an idea to get local ladies into sport and to get fit.
The team quickly established itself with good numbers turning out to train at the isle of Wight community club.
This venture quickly become apparent it was destined to go a lot further then originally planned.
After appearing in a number of public events across the Island and interest growing the team affiliated to the isle of Wight community club and entered the Hampshire women’s division 3 football league.
After a very turbulent start to life as a league team with a couple of management changes, the club went from strength to strength and gained an impressed 4th place in the league.
Now the ladies are back in the league for the 2018/2019 season in Division 2. The team has high expectations to thoroughly enjoy the season, as well as, aim high in the league table.
We want to build a big profile for the team to encourage more women to get into football in it’s ever growing presence.

The future of Cowes Ladies Football Club is also looking a lot brighter now with the formation of an Under 15’s girls team. These girls are determined more than ever to have a successful season, especially with the ladies to look up to.
With new coaching additions to the team in the form of Laurence chick as our new goalkeeping coach, as well as Martin Wragg who is the Under 15’s manager and first team coach, we hope to attract new players – both senior and juniors. We also aim to expand our current sponsors and thus growing interest in the team from across the South of England.
The club’s ambition is to become a leading light in promoting and building the ladies game.
